Introducing Empower3 Nonprofit!!
Empower3 Nonprofit is for God's glory and to serve Him through serving the special needs community.
This year's Good Friday is symbolic and so important. It's important because of the beautiful sacrifice Jesus did for each one of us. And it is the launch of Empower3 Nonprofit!
Something that I've been preparing for what seems like a lifetime. Is finally here! I believe in my heart that God created and made me for this, to serve Him through serving the special needs community.
Friends, as many of you may know my family is a special needs family and I know the real-life struggles, joys, and hopes of the journey. When my oldest, Athena, was diagnosed with autism at 2 years old, I was a teen mom and had no idea how I would raise her well and take care of her. Through the grace of God and the support of my family and close friends, they helped me raise Athena. The one thing that looking back I wish I had then was a special needs community of other special needs families. I know how painful and lonely the special needs journey can be and I want to create and support a community for every special needs family to be loved and supported. Through anything they may go through with their families, the high, joys, lows, struggles, and everything in between.
The reason the launch date was Good Friday, 4.10.2020 was because this time last year I submitted an application to allow Empower3 Nonprofit to be an alliance partner with Women's nonprofit alliance (www.womensnpa.org). They are a faith-based nonprofit that helps Christian women start and run nonprofits! I was referred to them by Created Woman Nonprofit (www.createdwoman.net) (the women's ministry that helps women launch their dreams and who I served with for the past couple of years until now, Hey CW Family! I miss you and love you and am cheering each of you on. ) Women's nonprofit alliance provide all the backend office support for the nonprofit. Empower3 nonprofit operates under the fiscal sponsorship of the Women's Nonprofit Alliance, an official 501c(3) tax-exempt, nonprofit parent organization. As an alliance partner with Women's Nonprofit Alliance, we're able to accept tax-deductible donations.
My hopes, dreams, and vision for Empower3 Nonprofit is to be a haven community for special needs families, come to be supported, and to know that God loves them and their family and Empower3 loves them.
Empower3 Nonprofit mission is to show the love of Christ to every special needs family by equipping, empowering, and encouraging them with compassion and resources.
The first two programs that have launched are an online support group for the families and a podcast!
The online support group can be found on Facebook through "Empowerthree Nonprofit" page, the group "Empower3 Nonprofit Support Group" to join can be found on the page. If you know any special needs families, please refer them to us and to join the support group so they can be loved and supported!
The Podcast can be currently found on Anchor and Spotify search for "Empower3 Nonprofit". We'll be published on other podcast platforms and will let the public know when that happens and where to find us. The podcast's mission is the same as the nonprofit (To convey the love of Christ to every special needs family by equipping, empowering, and encouraging them with compassion and resources), the vision for the podcast is to create a safe haven for families to come and know they are not alone on this special needs journey. Hosted weekly by My sister in law, Francisca Orzua and I. We are two moms of children with special needs.

God put the nonprofit on my heart awhile ago, but the truth
is I could not have done any of this on my own. God placed my sister in law,
Francisca, in my life a long time ago. And he knew that in 2020 we would
partner and start Empower3 together. We both have our own separate special
needs journey with our respective immediate families. He knew we would
connect and serve him through serving special needs families. And I thank her for her
continued support, dedication, and prayers.
